Cha Eun Woo of the K-pop group ASTRO is preparing to release a solo album before enlisting in the military.
His agency Fantagio confirmed “It’s true that Cha Eun Woo is currently preparing a solo album. The release date is still being coordinated.”
According to reports on July 15, Cha Eun Woo has been accepted into the Army Military Band and is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier on July 28. He is currently working on his upcoming album and has reportedly already completed filming the music video.
Well known for juggling both his acting career and group activities, Cha Eun Woo is expected to comfort fans who may feel his absence with the release of his new album.
On July 12, he held a fan meeting titled 'THE ROYAL' at Kyung Hee University Peace Hall in Seoul, where he performed an unreleased track. During the event, he said, “I wanted to make you smile and leave you with fun, happy memories. Thanks to all of you, I’ll go and come back healthy and happy. Let’s definitely meet again.”
Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo is set to appear in the Netflix series 'The Wonderfuls' and the film 'First Ride'. He also recently premiered 'Cha Eun Woo VR Concert: MEMORIES', maintaining an active schedule right up until his enlistment.
