Karina of aespa has shared her interest in pursuing acting, further expanding her ambitions as a versatile entertainer.
On July 9, a new episode of the YouTube series 'Morning Walk,' hosted by TV personality Jonathan, was released under the title '[ENG] Talking About Infinite Challenge with Karina | Morning Walk EP.03.' In the episode, Karina joined Jonathan for a casual walk and open conversation.
During their car ride to a restaurant after the walk, Jonathan asked Karina about her future plans. Karina responded by saying, “I want to try everything I can as a celebrity. That way, I won’t have any regrets when I eventually retire.” She explained that this mindset was what encouraged her to try variety shows, and added that she hopes to explore acting in the future.
Jonathan also shared his own dreams of trying acting and music. Karina showed her support by saying, “I think you’d do really well.”
When asked about her experiences after five years in the industry, Karina reflected on how things have changed. She said, “I feel more comfortable when filming now. In the past, I felt like I had to prepare stories to share just to appear on variety shows. My members and I even talked about creating episodes ourselves to be more entertaining.”
She mentioned that she prefers talk shows over physical variety programs, saying, “I’ve always enjoyed having conversations. But being an MC seems difficult because you have to lead the conversation.”
Jonathan offered advice by saying that being a good MC is more about listening than talking. He also encouraged Karina, saying that he believes she would do well as a host in the future. Karina’s willingness to take on new challenges, including acting and hosting, highlights her dedication to growth and her passion for life as an entertainer.
