Girls' Generation member/actress Seohyun will be pursuing legal action against malicious netizens attacking her for being a model of the weight loss supplement brand 'FOODOLOGY'.
Seohyun has been active as the face of the weight loss supplement brand 'Coleology' by 'FOODOLOGY' since 2021. Known as "Seohyun's red supplements", the weight loss aid is known to appear frequently on air and on promotions billboards or signs on the streets.
It seems that some malicious netizens have been attacking the singer/actress with insults and false rumors due to Seohyun's endorsement of 'FOODOLOGY'.
On June 4 KST, Seohyun's new agency LEAD Entertainment stated,
"Hello, this is LEAD Entertainment.
We would like to notify that any and all accounts of malicious slander, false information, personal attacks, and defamation committed against our artist Seohyun on various online communities and SNS platforms will be met with strong legal action via our legal partners.
The following items constitute a clear violation of the law.
- Spreading false information
- Personal attacks
- Speech inducing sexual humiliation
- Repeated slander and threats
Such activities which persistently defame an artist and inflict personal offense are criminal acts according to the law. There will be no leniency or settlements against such acts.
We have recently begun collecting necessary evidence in order to protect our artist. Any reports or files sent by fans will be a huge help during the legal process. Should you come across any unlawful activity, please report it.
