According to a report from JTBC Entertainment News on June 4, Mnet has officially confirmed the production of 'Show Me the Money' Season 12.

The production team is currently in the final stages of preparation, including casting the judges. This marks the first new season in nearly three years since Season 11 wrapped in December 2022.

'Show Me the Money' is a hip-hop audition program that aired annually from 2012 to 2022. As Korea’s longest-running survival audition show, it gained widespread popularity with its hip-hop competition format. Throughout 11 seasons, the show has produced star rappers such as Swings, Mad Clown, Nucksal, Hangzoo, BewhY, and Woo Won Jae.

Though the program had been on hiatus since 2022, Mnet decided to produce a new season in celebration of its 30th anniversary this year. In particular, the success of 'RAP: PUBLIC,' a new hip-hop audition content co-produced by Mnet and TVING in December 2023, reportedly helped accelerate plans for the return of Show Me the Money.

Shin Hyung Kwan
, head of CJ ENM’s Music Content Division, also hinted at the possibility of a new season during the Mnet 30th Anniversary Chart Show broadcast in March.

Season 12 is expected to be produced on a grander scale than previous seasons as part of Mnet’s 30th anniversary special and is scheduled to air sometime next year.
