Lim Young Woong’s fan club, Hero Era Band Sharing Group, announced that it had donated 10 million KRW (approx. 7,200 USD) to a cerebral palsy football team in Busan in celebration of the singer’s upcoming birthday on June 16.
Coach Seong Seung Hwan and head coach Kim Dong Eun of the team expressed their gratitude, saying, “We had planned a four-day overseas training camp this December in Fukuoka, Japan, but it was at risk of being canceled due to financial difficulties. Thanks to the warm support of the Hero Era Band Sharing Group, we can now move forward with our plans.”
They added, “This training camp will go beyond physical exercise. It will be a valuable opportunity for both personal and athletic growth.
Through friendly matches with Japanese disabled football teams, watching J.League games, and cultural experiences, our athletes will broaden their horizons beyond just football.”
The coaches emphasized that the donation will be used transparently for all aspects of the training program and concluded, “We are deeply grateful and will continue to work toward spreading positive influence with our players.”
The Hero Era Band Sharing Group has been carrying out regular charity work since May 2020, including monthly lunch box volunteer work in Seoul’s Dongja dong and seasonal donations around Lim Young Woong’s birthday and year-end holidays. Their cumulative donations now total 413 million KRW (approx. 298,000 USD).
