On June 2, during a round interview in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, for his upcoming film 'Big Deal,' Lee Jae Hoon opened up about Signal Season 2. He said, “It’s rare (for a cast) to reunite and act together again after 10 years. For me, it’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

Speaking about his reunion with co-stars Kim Hye Soo and Cho Jin Woong, Lee Jae Hoon shared, “Seeing them again after all this time was both reassuring and motivating. I could feel how much we’ve all grown since then. I think we’ve become more relaxed, too.”
Lee Jae Hoon confidently added, “It will definitely be a project that meets expectations. We’re filming in good spirits, so I hope everyone will wait just a bit longer.”
Popular drama 'Signal'
Originally aired in 2016, Signal is a crime thriller that follows detectives from the past and present who are connected through a mysterious walkie-talkie. Together, they dig into long-unsolved cold cases. The series ended on an open-ended note, hinting at the survival of long-missing detective Lee Jae Han, which left viewers eagerly hoping for a second season.

'Signal' received widespread acclaim for its unique premise, solving cold cases through time-transcending communication, as well as its emotional depth and memorable lines like “The past can be changed. Don’t give up.” The finale achieved a peak rating of 15% and an average of 13.4% nationwide (Nielsen Korea, based on paid platforms), marking it as one of the most legendary K-dramas in history.
Currently in production with a target broadcast date in the first half of next year, 'Signal 2' will feature the return of the original trio: Kim Hye Soo as Cha Soo Hyun of the Cold Case Squad, Cho Jin Woong as violent crimes detective Lee Jae Han, and Lee Je Hoon as profiler Park Hae Young.
The sequel is once again penned by renowned screenwriter Kim Eun Hee, with director Ahn Tae Jin, known for writing and directing the film 'The Night Owl,' at the helm.
