On an online forum, netizens reacted to a clip of Sungmin sharing a funny story at a recent CRAVITY fansign event. He talked about a real-life incident where a taxi driver mistook him for a female woman during their conversation inside the car.

Sungmin recounted: "The other day, I took a cab to go home after practicing. My hair was a bit long at the time, and I had full makeup on. The driver and I were chatting about various things. He was a very fun person, so we were having a good conversation. Then, all of a sudden, we started talking about whether men and women can really be just friends. And then he suddenly said to me: 'Lady, your boyfriend must have a hard time. It must be hard for him to adjust for you.' He said that because I told him men and women can't be friends. (He assumed I had a boyfriend and thought I was a strict girlfriend.)"

The idol continued, "This happened because the driver was on the phone with a woman over speaker, and after some playful bickering, he told her to hang up. After the call ended, I casually asked if that was his wife, since we were already making small talk. He said, 'No, it's just a friend.' So I said, 'What? Mr. Driver, you have a girl friend?' And he said yes. He was a man in his 70s. I told him, 'Mr. Driver! You should be calling your wife, not another female friend!' Anyway, I’m just sharing this story because he thought I was a woman."
