BLACKPINK will premiere a new song at their Goyang concert, the starting point of their upcoming world tour this July.
On June 23, BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment announced, “The new song will be performed for the first time at the concerts held on July 5 and 6 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium.”
It will be BLACKPINK’s first new release in 2 years and 8 months. The announcement of their comeback had already drawn massive global attention when YG’s Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk shared the news through a "YG Announcement."
Regarding the decision, YG explained, “There was a lot of discussion about how to release the new song, and we ultimately decided to unveil it first at the Goyang concert, which marks the beginning of the world tour and a symbolic moment to reconnect with the fandom.”
BLACKPINK has solidified their status as a mega girl group representing K-POP, consistently setting new records with every release.
Starting with the Goyang concert in July, BLACKPINK will launch their world tour "DEADLINE," covering 16 cities with a total of 31 shows. The tour will include stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
