Yoo Seung Ho and Ji Ye Eun formed an unexpected on-screen couple on the latest episode of SBS’s Running Man, aired on May 11.
The episode featured a “Territory Marking of Killers” race and welcomed guest appearances from actors Son Ho Jun and Yoo Seung Ho. During the show, Yoo and Ji were paired as a “one-day couple,” creating heart-fluttering chemistry throughout the mission.
While riding in a car, Ji Suk Jin joked, “Ji Ye Eun lost weight, and now she’s annoying,” to which she playfully responded, “Because I got prettier?” Sitting in the back seat, Yoo Seung Ho quietly chimed in, “She really is beautiful in person,” drawing attention from both cast and viewers. Ji responded with a bold, “I’ve liked you too, Seung Ho,” sparking laughter.
Yoo Jae Suk teased, “Seung Ho never lies. He’ll probably run off as soon as filming ends,” while Ji Suk Jin added, “But I approve if it’s Seung Ho.”
During a game segment, when Yoo was unable to eat tteokbokki, Ji Ye Eun expressed disappointment, saying, “Can’t we share it? I want to eat with him.” Yang Se Chan jokingly scolded her, “Ji Ye Eun, are you not focused?”
Even after Yoo was revealed to be the spy, Ji affectionately said, “He’s cute,” and later fed him the tteokbokki herself. Yang Se Chan reacted with mock jealousy, quipping, “Wow, now she’s feeding him?” to which Ji playfully replied, “He’s our guest. Come sit here,” guiding Yoo to her side.
In a humorous moment, Ji challenged Yoo, saying, “If you eat this, we’re officially dating.” When Yoo hesitated, Kim Jong Kook advised, “Just date her for a bit and then break up.” Ultimately, Yoo ate the tteokbokki, prompting Ji to declare, “It’s day one of our relationship!”
When Song Ji Hyo later sat next to Yoo, Ji quipped, “Sunbae, that’s my boyfriend’s seat,” prompting Yoo to reply, “Thank you, girlfriend,” causing the rest of the cast to burst into laughter. Ji Suk Jin added, “You’ve got a boyfriend and now you’re abandoning your family?”
The final victory went to the “Grasshopper Team,” and Yoo Seung Ho, making his third appearance on the show, won his first game. Although he earned immunity from the punishment, he cheekily said, “Except for my girlfriend,” excluding Ji Ye Eun. She was ultimately soaked by Son Ho Jun’s ink-filled water gun, and though Yoo tried to help wipe her face, he couldn’t hold back his laughter.
