Actress Kim Ji Yeon, also known as WJSN (Cosmic Girls) member Bona, has announced a firm stance against malicious online commenters.
On May 12, her agency, King Kong by Starship, released an official statement, saying, “We have recently confirmed that false information, malicious slander, and personal attacks targeting our artist Kim Ji Yeon have been spreading indiscriminately through social media and online communities.”
The agency continued, “This clearly constitutes an illegal act that infringes upon the artist’s reputation and personal rights. We will be taking strong legal action based on legal procedures, with no leniency or settlements.”

Kim Ji Yeon first debuted in 2016 as Bona through WJSN, where she gained public affection through her vibrant activities, serving as both a vocal and visual member and leaving a strong impression on various stages.
After transitioning into acting, she began using her real name, Kim Ji Yeon, and received praise for her stable performances in dramas such as 'Girls’ Generation 1979,' 'Record of Youth,' 'Homemade Love Story,' and 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One.'
Now fully established as an actress, Kim Jiyeon is currently starring as the shaman Yeori in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'The Haunted Palace.' The fantasy romance tells the story of an imugi spirit named Kang Cheol trapped in the body of his first love, Yoon Gap (played by Yook Sung Jae), and his battle with the eight-foot ghost threatening the royal family. The drama is gaining popularity as an original series, not based on a webtoon.
