Singer and actress Uhm Jung Hwa has expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who stood by her through the aftermath of her thyroid surgery 15 years ago.
On May 17, Uhm took to Instagram to share a reflective post, writing, “It’s already been 15 years. Through the difficult aftermath and the trembling voice that followed my thyroid surgery, there were people who quietly, steadfastly stayed by my side.” She accompanied the message with a photo of herself holding a bouquet.
She continued, “My beloved Brown, Taengle, Super, my family and friends. Thank you so much and I love you. Thank you for the flowers, Jae-hee. I miss you, Taengle.”
In the photo, Uhm Jung Hwa is seen holding a vibrant bouquet. A message attached to the flowers reads, “You’ve endured so much while adjusting to a new life over the past 15 years. I remember those moments more than anyone else. I respect you and thank you for always overcoming it all.”
Uhm previously revealed that she underwent thyroid surgery in 2010, during which a nerve in her neck was damaged, making it difficult for her to speak and sing.
Currently, Uhm Jung Hwa is busy filming for the upcoming Genie TV original drama 'My Golden Star,' set to be released later this year.
