Trot singer Song Ga In’s team has issued a warning about a recent scam in which her manager was impersonated.
On May 6, her agency, JG Star, stated, “Recently, a scam has occurred, where someone impersonated one of our staff members to obtain money and goods.”
The scammer pretended to be Song Ga In’s manager and caused financial damage to small business owners by asking them to prepare and purchase wine in advance, citing company gatherings as the reason.
The agency clarified, “Our staff will never request money or goods from external parties,” and warned, “Please do not send money or respond to such requests.”
They added, “If you are unsure whether the person is a legitimate staff member or if you have suffered damages, please report it to the police. We will do our best to prevent further incidents.”
Meanwhile, Song Ga In rose to fame after winning first place on TV Chosun’s 'Miss Trot Season 1' in 2019. Since then, she has released songs such as “Ga In” and “Ga In: Moon.”
