
Actress Jo Bo Ah expressed her admiration for co-star Lee Jae Wook during the press conference for Netflix’s upcoming mystery melodrama 'Tangeum.'
At the production presentation held on the morning of May 13 at the Ramada Hotel in Sindorim, Seoul, Jo Bo Ah stated, “I truly respect him and learned a lot from him.”
In 'Tangeum,' Jo Bo Ah plays Jae Yi, a woman who has long searched for her half-brother Hong Rang. Although she begins to suspect that the man who returns may not be her real brother, she gradually finds herself drawn to him.
Explaining why she chose the role, Jo Bo Ah said, “I was attracted to the theme of sibling affection. I’ve always been very close to my own younger sibling, and that strong bond made me want to portray Jae Yi.”
Regarding her experience working with Lee Jae Wook, she shared, “His attitude on set is admirable. He has a sincere passion and ambition for acting, the project, and his character. I respected that and learned a great deal while acting with him.”
'Tangeum' follows the story of Hong Rang, the son of Joseon’s most powerful merchant family, who returns after disappearing for 12 years with no memory of his past. As only his half-sister Jae Yi begins to question his true identity, a mysterious and complex emotional connection begins to develop between them. 'Tangeum' will premiere on May 16.
