SHINee’s Taemin achieved a new milestone with the cinematically crafted song ‘Criminal,’ surpassing 50 million views on YouTube! The title track ‘Criminal’ appears on 'Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 1,' part one of Taemin’s fourth solo album, released on September 7, 2020.  It's Taemin's fifth song to reach this milestone.

‘Criminal’ is a synth-wave track that expresses attraction towards someone as Stockholm syndrome.

An interesting fact about the inspiration for ‘Criminal’ was revealed by the Lyricist Team Danke saying ~ “the inspiration for ‘Criminal’ actually came from Taemin’s ‘Door’ performance at the 2017 MAMA. In that performance, he is blindfolded and tied up in strings and that is how the character for ‘Criminal’ was born.”  

This milestone comes after an earlier milestone when Taemin successfully completed his First Solo World Tour ‘Ephemeral Gaze’. International fans had their wishes fulfilled with Taemin performing at 37 concerts in 20 countries over a period of 8 months (24.08.31 ~ 25.04.27).

Another important milestone he set during his tour was performing his “100th” solo concert in Brussels, Belgium (25.03.15). Taemin is the 1st male Kpop solo artist to achieve this milestone!
