Rosé & NewJeans win at 'Music Awards Japan 2025', aespa & PLAVE nominated for 'Best Song Asia'

BLACKPINK's Rosé and NewJeans have been awarded at the 1st official 'Music Awards Japan 2025'.
Organized by Japan's 5 major music industry organizations including the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) in partnership with the Japanese government, 'Music Awards Japan 2025' determines winners across 62 music categories through the votes of over 5,000 Japanese music industry professionals.
First, Rosé of BLACKPINK was announced as the winner of 'Best International Pop Song in Japan' for her 2024 hit "APT." feat. Bruno Mars. NewJeans, on the other hand, took home an award for 'Best K-Pop Song In Japan' with "Ditto".
The main award ceremony, announcing the winners of the 6 main categories including 'Song of the Year', 'Artist of the Year', 'New Artist of the Year', 'Album of the Year', 'Top Global Hit from Japan', and 'Best Song Asia', will be held live on May 22 at 7:30 PM JST. The ceremony will be broadcast on NHK and YouTube.
Along with her win for 'Best International Pop Song in Japan', Rosé is also nominated for 'Song of the Year' for "APT.". Two other K-Pop acts, including aespa with "Supernova" and PLAVE with "Way 4 Luv", are in the running for 'Best Song Asia'.
