Singer and actor Lim Chang Jung has signed an exclusive contract with JG STAR Entertainment, signaling his return to the spotlight after resolving misunderstandings with the agency and being cleared of involvement in a stock manipulation case.

On May 14, JG STAR Entertainment announced, "We have signed an exclusive contract with Lim Chang Jung. We will provide our full support to help him thrive as a singer, television personality, and actor, living up to his reputation as a true all-around entertainer."

The agency addressed previous issues, stating, "We had differences of opinion with Lim Chang Jung regarding the nationwide concert tour 'Multiverse.' After the matter became public, we held sincere and in-depth conversations with him. We were able to clear up the misunderstandings and agreed to work together again."

Lim Chang Jung began his acting career in 1990 and made a successful transition to music with the release of his first studio album in 1995. His diverse talents earned him the title of all-around entertainer as he gained popularity in music, television, and variety shows. His third album Again earned him the Grand Prize at the 'KBS Song Festival.' As an actor, he was recognized for his roles in films such as 'Beat,' 'Sex Is Zero,' and 'Miracle' on 1st Street, and won Best Actor at the 'Baeksang Arts Awards' for 'Scout.'

In the 2010s, Lim returned to the music scene and released a series of hit songs including 'The Person That Is Me,' 'Love Again,' and 'The Love I Committed,' regaining his popularity. In 2023, he faced controversy when he was linked to a stock manipulation scheme, but in 2024, prosecutors cleared him of all charges and identified him as a victim.

Now that Lim Chang Jung has overcome these challenges and reunited with JG STAR Entertainment, with whom he has worked closely on promotions and concerts for years, there is growing anticipation for the next successful chapter in his career.
