Lee Hongki, actor and member of the band FT Island, stunned viewers with his bold and unconventional living space on the May 11 episode of SBS’s 'My Little Old Boy'.
In this episode, Lee Hongki made his official debut as the show’s newest “son,” offering a glimpse into his unique solo lifestyle.

The MCs and the “Mom Avengers” (the panel of celebrity mothers) were visibly shocked upon seeing the interior of Hongki’s home—particularly the bathtub installed directly against one wall of his bedroom. Seo Jang Hoon exclaimed, “Can you really have a bathtub inside a bedroom like that?” to which Hongki replied, “It’s always been part of my dream morning routine. I wanted to take a bath at least once a week.”

Hongki explained, “When I moved, I did a ton of research—especially about bathtubs. The concept is no boundary between bedroom and bathroom,” revealing his bold design philosophy.
Naturally, this setup has led to occasional mishaps. At one point, he forgot about a filling tub and narrowly avoided an overflow. Even when water spilled over, Hongki remained unfazed, saying, “I’m going to clean anyway,” leaving the mothers even more stunned.
Relaxing in the tub while watching cartoons on TV and moving freely around the room, Hongki’s free-spirited personality shone through. Seo Jang Hoon remarked, “He’s even more intense than Kim Hee Chul,” unable to hide his surprise.
Later in the studio, Hongki’s mother made a special appearance, drawing laughs with her brutally honest take: “Objectively speaking, he’s a cool guy. But he’s also a weirdo. Even I think he’s a bit much.”
Now the youngest “son” at age 36 on 'My Little Old Boy', fans are looking forward to discovering more of Lee Hongki’s quirky charm in upcoming episodes.
