
Singer Kyuhyun has addressed the recent criticism following his appearance on the Netflix variety show 'The Devil’s Plan: Death Room,' sharing his thoughts on the controversy.
On May 21, Kyuhyun posted a message through a fan communication platform, referring to the show and expressing his understanding of the production process. He stated that the producers could not include everything in the broadcast, suggesting that some important details may have been left out during editing.
His comments came after the final episode of 'The Devil’s Plan: Death Room' was released on May 20. Following the release, Kyuhyun received a flood of criticism on social media, with some viewers claiming he lacked a competitive spirit and showed no desire to win.
Kyuhyun acknowledged the feedback and said that although he too had some regrets, there was nothing more he could do. He added that he might share more behind-the-scenes stories in the future and asked fans not to feel too upset. He emphasized the strong bond among the cast members, noting that they understood and supported one another and maintained a good relationship.
He asked viewers to be kind and reminded them that everyone has their own perspective.
'The Devil’s Plan: Death Room' is a survival variety series where players from diverse professional backgrounds live together for seven days and compete to determine who has the sharpest mind. This season featured 14 contestants, two more than the previous season, including Go legend Lee Sedol, singer Kyuhyun, announcer Kang Ji Young, Hollywood actor Justin H. Min, and four highly skilled civilian participants.
