Despite his ongoing controversy, actor Kim Soo Hyun has made it into the Top 3 in the male actor category of a star power ranking.
The actor ranked 3rd with 11,546 votes in the 110th round of Star Ranking’s weekly male actor poll, which was conducted from April 24 to May 1.
In the previous 109th round, actor Kim Nam Gil held the 3rd spot. Kim Soo Hyun had only received 540 votes in that round, placing him in 7th place.
However, Kim Soo Hyun saw a significant rise in ranking this time. He joined the Top 3 alongside Lee Jun Ho, who ranked 1st with 40,302 votes, and Byun Woo Seok, who came in 2nd with 24,208 votes.
Meanwhile, Star Ranking is a poll-based ranking system where fans vote directly for their favorite stars. Mobile voters can receive a voting certificate, and various benefits are given to stars based on their ranking.
The celebrity who ranks first place for four consecutive weeks will be featured in an outdoor billboard advertisement. Fans of a star who achieves four consecutive No. 1 rankings can also support them by submitting a fan-made video for the billboard ad.
