According to media outlet YTN Star on May 2 KST, actor Kim Soo Hyun is now facing another advertisement contract lawsuit worth approximately 2.8 billion KRW (~ $2 million USD).
A retail brand known as 'D' filed a damages lawsuit against Kim Soo Hyun with the Seoul Central District Court on April 25 KST, demanding 2.8 billion KRW from the Hallyu star for violating his advertisement contract through his recent controversies.
Previously, two other retail brands sued Kim Soo Hyun for damages incurred due to the controversies surrounding his private life, including accusations that he dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor.
Kim Soo Hyun's side has strongly denied the accusations thus far, arguing that he and Kim Sae Ron dated briefly after she became an adult. The actor's side has also proceeded with a series of lawsuits against Kim Sae Ron's bereaved family members and the YouTube channel HOVERLAB, calling them out for false accusations, stalking, defamation, etc.
