On May 19, R&B co-ed duo Emotional Oranges shared a photo with NewJeans' Danielle on their official international account.
They included their own orange emoji alongside NewJeans' bunny emoji to signal a collaboration and wrote, "Please wait a little longer. Coming soon," hinting at Danielle’s upcoming solo release.
However, the post was later deleted. Even some fans who had welcomed the news of Danielle’s solo comeback expressed confusion over the sudden removal.

Korean netizens gathered their attention to this latest social media update since NewJeans are currently on hiatus following their declaration not to return to their agency ADOR. Korean netizens gathered in a popular online community to give their take on this matter and commented:
"If ADOR was involved = she betrayed the other members? If ADOR wasn't involved = breach of contract. Following the Hong Kong performance, this feels like another calculated move. In the end, it's probably a relief for her that ADOR was involved..."
"Why not just settle things with ADOR quickly, return to activities, and if it's uncomfortable to work under them, she could just pay a fixed amount from her earnings during the contract period. Just come to an agreement."
"We’ll just have to wait for an official ADOR statement."
"Looks like they think Korea is a pushover."
"So there are still people supporting NJZ anyway. Are they just trying to act freely and earn money while preparing to pay the penalty fees? It's fascinating and shocking that something like this is even possible..."
"Lol the reporters are speculating like crazy, acting like they know what’s going on."
"Is this more evidence in ADOR’s favor?"
"Seriously, are they underestimating Korea or what;;"
"If it happens, it'll probably be through ADOR."
"The world really must be easy to mess with, lol."
"NewJeans are such interesting group in many ways."
"This might not be good if ADOR doesn't know about it."
