
Jennie has donated 100 million KRW (approximately $73,000) to the Seoul National University College of Medicine, contributing to the development of future medical talent.
On May 30, the Seoul National University College of Medicine Development Fund Committee announced, “Jennie made the generous donation with the hope of supporting the cultivation of compassionate individuals who aspire to heal the world. Her contribution will go toward the college’s advancement fund.”
The university stated that the donation will help strengthen its educational and research infrastructure, and further promote the development of well-rounded students equipped with social empathy and communication skills.
Dean Kim Jung Eun of the College of Medicine expressed gratitude, saying, “We sincerely thank Jennie for her profound intention to go beyond financial support and extend her positive influence. With this support, we will strive to raise future leaders who embody inclusiveness, empathy, communication, and a spirit of service to meet the trust and expectations of the public.”
Jennie’s philanthropic efforts have been ongoing. In 2023, her agency ODDATELIER (OA Entertainment) also donated 100 million KRW (approximately $73,000) to the university’s medical school in support of nurturing future leaders in medicine.
Meanwhile, Jennie established her own label, ODDATELIER, in 2023, marking a new chapter in her career as a solo artist. Her first full-length solo album 'Ruby,' which showcases her boundless musical potential, has been met with great acclaim.
