A high school student from Busan was caught illegally filming a woman at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition on May 13 CST.
In fact, footage of the victim personally confronting the high school student, then proceeding to report him to the on-site staff, has gone viral on various SNS platforms.
According to the viral video, after discovering that the high school student had their phone camera directed at them, the victim quickly confronted the student, demanding, "Delete that."
The high school student then repeated, "Sorry" to the victim, but the victim continued to raise their voice, demanding that they see the footage. Confirming that the student had in fact filmed them, the victim grabbed the student by the wrist until they came across on-site staff. The victim told the staff, "This Korean man filmed me illegally. Please call the police. I can't unlock the phone myself. I saw that he filmed me. He deleted it, but the video is still in the 'recently deleted' files. I don't know how to work it because the phone is in Korean."
The enraged victim also told the student, "Sorry? What sorry? That won't cut it."
The video, supposedly posted online by the victim, fully exposed the face of the perpetrator, not to mention his name badge, which showed his name and his high school, as the student was on a school trip. Many Chinese netizens have since used this information to identify the student's school, his SNS account, and other personal information. Some are even demanding that the individual be banned from entry into China.
When contacted regarding the situation, a representative of the student's high school in Busan said, "Our student did not film the person intentionally. A security officer ordered him to delete the footage and the situation was concluded. The student has returned to Korea safely."
Meanwhile, other onlookers applauded the victim's quick and prudent response to the situation.
