On May 7, Garosero Research Institute (also known as HoverLab), represented by CEO Kim Se Eui, has claimed that a whistleblower in possession of a recording related to late actress Kim Sae Ron was violently attacked, suggesting the case constitutes a "clear act of incitement to murder."

On Tuesday afternoon, at a press conference held at a location in Gangnam, Seoul, the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae Ron, along with their legal representative from Buyu Law Firm, addressed the media regarding ongoing concerns surrounding her death.

Attorney Boo Ji Seok of the law firm Buyou and Kim Se Eui explained that they had originally planned to disclose the situation after South Korea’s presidential election but decided to speak earlier due to the severity of recent developments.

Kim stated that approximately one month before Kim Sae Ron’s reported suicide, she confided in a whistleblower based in New Jersey, USA. According to Kim, the actress had said, "The people who tormented me the most were Kim Soo Hyun and 'Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho.'" He added that the whistleblower had recorded around 90 minutes of conversation with Kim Sae Ron, reportedly with her consent.

On April 30th, the whistleblower was allegedly attacked by two assailants believed to have come from Korea and China. "He was stabbed nine times in the neck area," Kim claimed. "The family requested that at least part of the recording be made public, fearing the situation could escalate further. This is undeniably a case of attempted murder."

Kim further alleged that Kim Sae Ron had engaged in a sexual relationship with actor Kim Soo Hyun while she was in middle school, and that this and other revelations were intended to be disclosed after the presidential election. However, due to the recent violent incident, they decided to share some of the information sooner.

He concluded by stating that the attack was a "clearly premeditated crime" and emphasized that the case is now under investigation by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), rather than local New Jersey police.

No official response has been issued by U.S. authorities or individuals named in the claims.
