Actress Lee Min Jung recently shared a personal story about why she had to cancel the vow renewal she had planned for her 10th wedding anniversary. It turns out that she was pregnant with her second child at the time.
On April 20, a video was uploaded to her YouTube channel Lee Min Jung MJ. The video was titled 'Lee Min Jung’s Wedding Dress Lookbook 12 Years Later and the Latest Wedding Trends.' In it, she visits a wedding dress shop with actor Kim Ho Young, boutique director Lee Kyung Min, and her stylist Seo Soo Kyung.
During the visit, she tried on several wedding dresses. One of them featured a heart-shaped neckline and a dotted pleated mesh skirt. Kim Ho Young commented that women who love romantic and medieval styles would probably dream of trying on a dress like that.
Lee Min Jung smiled and said the fabric had a youthful feel, which she personally liked. She then shared that she had been planning a vow renewal ceremony for her 10th anniversary and had talked about it with the boutique’s director. However, she found out she was pregnant at the time and decided to put the idea aside. She added that instead of a ceremony, they celebrated by enjoying a meal together and hoping for the baby’s good health.
Now that she is celebrating her 12th anniversary, she said she is still open to the idea of a vow renewal, especially since people around her have been encouraging it again.
Lee Min Jung married actor Lee Byung Hun in 2013. The couple had their first son in 2015. In December 2023, they welcomed their second child, a daughter, ten years after their wedding.
She has also been active in her career. Since November of last year, she has been filming the MBC weekend drama 'Let’s Get Divorced,' in which she plays the role of Baek Mi Young, the CEO of a wedding dress company.
