Previously, Sulli's brother had stirred up attention by posting posts targeting actor Kim Soo Hyun. He raised doubts about his sister's tragic death and accused Kim Soo Hyun and his cousin, Lee Ro Bae, the director of the film 'Real,' of pressuring Sulli into filming intimate scenes. According to Sulli's family, these claims were brought up during her funeral in 2019.
Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, responded by releasing an official statement, denying the allegations. They clarified that the character of Song Yoo Hwa, played by Sulli in the movie, was always intended to have intimate scenes as per the script, and the casting call specifically sought an actress who was comfortable with such roles. They also stated that the script, including the intimate scenes, was communicated to Sulli and her agency in advance. The agency further explained that while a stand-in was used for certain camera angles, no body double was involved in the scenes themselves.
