Actor Kim Jae Wook has paid tribute to renowned Japanese actress Miho Nakayama, who passed away suddenly at the end of last year.

On April 22nd, Kim Jae Wook took to social media to express his condolences, sharing heartfelt words along with stills from their work together.

He wrote, “The moment I learned that I’d be working with you, the moment we first met at the fitting room and you looked into my eyes for a long time before smiling… all those countless moments we shared during the difficult and demanding shoot, always communicating honestly—those unforgettable memories made for a special summer.

He added, “I will treasure them dearly. It was an honor to work with you. May you rest in peace.”

Kim Jae Wook and Miho Nakayama co-starred in the 2018 romantic film Butterfly Sleep, which tells the story of bestselling author Ryoko (played by Nakayama), who collaborates on her final novel with aspiring writer Chan Hae (played by Kim).

Miho Nakayama, born in 1970, was beloved in Korea for her performance in Shunji Iwai’s classic film Love Letter. She was found dead in her home in Shibuya, Tokyo, in December of last year. Reports indicate she died due to an accident while bathing.
