Im Siwan has humorously agreed to appear on actress Lee Min Jung’s YouTube channel — without fully realizing what he signed up for.
On April 1st, a short video titled “Wishing 'The Match' a huge success – Final Episode (Shorts only)” was uploaded to Lee Min Jung’s YouTube channel ‘Lee Min Jung MJ’.
The video captures a brief but amusing interaction between Lee and Im Siwan at the afterparty for the VIP premiere of 'The Match', a film starring Lee’s husband, Lee Byung Hun.
In the clip, Im Siwan asks, “Is this going on YouTube?” to which Lee quickly responds, “Mr. Im Siwan, are you going to be on the channel?” Caught off guard, Im Siwan looks puzzled and replies, “Where exactly?” before adding with a laugh, “I’m not really sure what this is, but I guess I’ll go on it.”
Seizing the moment, Lee enthusiastically says, “Thank you! That’s it!” wrapping up the impromptu casting. Though visibly confused, Im Siwan good-naturedly accepted the invitation.
This isn’t the first time Im Siwan has made headlines for his casual celebrity interactions. Back in February 2023, he appeared on the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block', where he shared a story about visiting Lee Byung Hun’s home. He jokingly said he couldn’t tell whether the actor’s invitation was genuine or polite, but went anyway and ended up playing with Lee’s son Joon Hoo — earning himself the nickname “pro guest.”
