The upcoming Korean film 'Big Deal' has unveiled four striking character posters, spotlighting the main cast and heightening anticipation ahead of its June 3rd release. Set during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, B'ig Deal' tells the gripping story of two men who put everything on the line over the future of Korea's national soju brand.
In the film, Yoo Hae Jin plays Pyo Jong Rok, a finance executive whose life revolves around soju and loyalty to his company. His character poster, bearing the word “Protect”, captures his fierce determination with an intense gaze. As his company, Kukbo Group, teeters on the brink of collapse due to the crisis, Pyo takes matters into his own hands—meeting with investors and law firms, and even promoting soju himself on the ground, in a desperate bid to save what he believes in.
On the other side stands Choi In Beom, portrayed by Lee Jae Hoon. A sharp and ambitious employee of global investment firm Solqueen, In Beom is determined to take over the struggling Kukbo Group. His poster, with the phrase “Swallow”, showcases his predatory stare, hinting at the corporate power play he’s about to initiate.
Joining them are Son Hyun Joo as Chairman Seok Jin Woo and Choi Young Joon as attorney Koo Young Mo. Seok’s poster reads “Block”, representing his firm belief that the people’s soju must never fail. His commanding gaze embodies the authority of a man unwilling to let his company collapse.
Meanwhile, Koo Young Mo's poster reads “Fight”. As Kukbo’s lead legal counsel and a relatively unknown attorney, his mission is to defend the company against powerful external threats, promising a pivotal role in the unfolding battle.
'Big Deal' is slated for nationwide theatrical release on June 3, inviting audiences into a fierce showdown between corporate ambition and heartfelt loyalty.
