BoA apologized for her rude remark about Park Na Rae during a recent "drunken" live stream with Jun Hyun Moo.
On April 7, BoA took to Weverse and posted an apology for her careless words on April 5. She wrote, "I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to my careless words and behavior, and my immature conduct during the social media live broadcast on April 5."
She continued to explain that she had personally apologized to Park Na Rae and said, "First, I want to say sorry to Park Na Rae for making inappropriate comments about her in her absence. I've personally apologized to her, and I truly appreciate her generous understanding."
BoA continued, "To the fans who have supported and loved me for such a long time despite my shortcomings, I am deeply sorry for letting you down. I will take this incident as an opportunity to reflect on myself once again. Going forward, I will strive to be more mindful of the weight my words and actions carry, and show a more mature side of myself."
Meanwhile, BoA received backlash when she commented that Jun Hyun Moo was too good for Park Na Rae to be dating her. On April 5, BoA and Jun Hyun Moo held a surprise live-streaming session while they were enjoying dinner and drinks at Jun Hyun Moo's house. During the broadcast, a fan asked Jun Hyun Moo, "There’s a rumor online that you’re dating Park Na Rae. Is it true?" to which BoA replied curtly, "I don’t think so."
When Jun Hyun Moo reacted with surprise and commented, "You answered before I even could." BoA then insisted again, "You and her can't be dating each other." Jun Hyun Moo then asked, "Why? Because you think Park Na Rae is too good for me?" BoA replied, "No, you’re too good for her."
This prompted viewers to criticize BoA for making a rude comment towards Park Na Rae and talking behind her back.
