On the March 23rd broadcast of the SBS entertainment program 'My Little Old Boy' (hereafter referred to as 'Miwoo Sae'), Kim Heechul visited the home of his close friend Son Dam Bi. On the show, he shared that he and Son Dam Bi have been close friends for 23 years and that he came to cheer her on before she gives birth.
Upon seeing her baby bump, Kim Heechul was visibly surprised, exclaiming, "Are you kidding me? I can't believe it." In response, Son Dam Bi revealed her belly and said, "It's almost time. I'm only a month away from giving birth."
Kim jokingly asked, "Did you put something in your belly? Honestly, I wish you hadn’t appeared on TV. My mom would be incredibly jealous if she found out that you, the woman she once picked as her daughter-in-law, were pregnant."
Son Dam Bi shared, "Senior Choi Jiwoo became an icon of late pregnancy by giving birth at 46, and now I’m giving birth at 43. I'm also considered of advanced maternal age. But I think I’m lucky—it came to me at this age," she said. "I did IVF. Usually, it takes 7 or 8 attempts, but I conceived after two. I failed once, gained weight during the second attempt, and then finally got pregnant after trying again."
Son Dam Bi married former national speed skating team member Lee Kyuhyuk in 2022. She announced her pregnancy last year after undergoing two rounds of IVF. The baby's nickname is Ddabong, and the due date is in April.
