Singer Hwanhee expressed his sorrow over the passing of his close friend, Wheesung.
On March 12th KST, Hwanhee took to Instagram to share his grief, writing, “Wheesung, I still can’t believe it. Let’s meet again later, and when we do, let’s sing our hearts out together. Until then, rest peacefully.”
Along with his heartfelt message, Hwanhee posted a screenshot from a past duet performance with Wheesung, reminiscing about their shared memories. As peers of the same age, both artists were celebrated for their distinctive and rich vocal tones, earning admiration as two of Korea’s most iconic vocalists.
According to Seoul’s Gwangjin Police Station, Wheesung was found unconscious in his residence in Gwangjin-gu on March 10th at 6:29 PM. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his passing.
