Wonder Girls' Woo Hye Rim (Lim) reveals fans thought her husband was her manager when they were dating

Woo Hye Rim (known as Lim from Wonder Girls) revealed a hilarious anecdote in the latest episode of KBS2 TV's 'The Return of Superman.'

In the latest episode that aired on February 26, Woo Hye Rim and Jang Dong Min joined MCs Park Soo Hong, Choi Ji Woo, and Ahn Young Mi. In this episode, Woo Hye Rim and her husband, Shin Min Chul, who recently welcomed their second child 55 days ago, spent time with Hye Rim's parents, who traveled from Hong Kong to see their daughter.

During a family meal, Hye Rim's father started a conversation by asking, "How did you two start dating behind my back?" It was revealed that the two had actually met during a Taekwondo gathering hosted by Hye Rim's father.

Hye Rim recalled that time with a laugh, "I only went because my dad said we were going out for steak. If it hadn't been for the steak, I would've thought twice about it."

But it was Hye Rim's mother who played a key role in bringing Hye Rim and Min Chul together. Shin Min Chul shared, "Even before we started dating, I naturally exchanged texts with my mother-in-law to gather some information about Hye Rim."

Hye Rim's mother confessed, "I wanted Min Chul to be Hye Rim's bodyguard while she was alone in Korea," and explained that she was worried about her youngest daughter living alone in a different country than her family.

She also shared that Min Chul had gone with Hye Rim to her university interview as her guardian. Hye Rim's mother explained, "He went to Hye Rim's university interview on our behalf. I'm still so grateful for that."

Shin Min Chul added, "I went in place of her parents." Hye Rim continued, "That's right. On the day of the university interview, he drove me there and waited for me at the parents' lounge. I relied on him a lot back then."

Shin Min Chul also revealed that he pretended to be Hye Rim's manager when they were dating. 

Hye Rim further elaborated, "When were out on dates in public, people assumed that he was my manager. It got to the point where fans would come up to him to ask 'Can I get Hye Rim's autograph?'"
