BTS’s V (Kim Taehyung) celebrates promotion to sergeant with a new hot military update

Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, sends fans into a frenzy with his new military update.

On February 23, Taehyung took to Instagram to share his promotion to sergeant along with several photos. He captioned the post, "Sergeant Kim reporting in alive! D-107. After a very harsh winter, I will return safely and in good health to greet you in the warm spring!"

The post instantly sent fans into a frenzy, as it provided a rare glimpse into his life in the military. In two photos, Taehyung holds a bouquet of flowers, his radiant smile highlighting his handsome face.

Other images highlight his impressive physique, showcasing the results of his rigorous military training and consistent workout in the gym. He can also be seen in various pics during his military breaks.

In a live broadcast before his enlistment, Taehyung promised fans he would “increase his weight to 86 kg” and has since become a hot topic for his progress in building his physique. 

The photos quickly gained traction across social media platforms, trending #1 on X (Twitter) and breaking into the Top 10 trending topics on Weibo, China’s largest social media site.

With just 107 days left until Taehyung's discharge, anticipation continues to build for his return. 

Taehyung is currently serving in the Special Forces of Military Police Special Mission Unit and is expected to be discharged in June 2025.
