On January 15, Shim Hyung Tak shared the joyful news on his personal social media. He posted a heartfelt message to his child saying, "Hello Haru.... Thank you for coming to be by Mom and Dad's side. From now on, we will protect you. We love you" and revealed his child's name. He also shared photos of the newborn's tiny hands and feet.
Saya also shared her excitement on her social media platform and wrote, "We've finally met. I can't put into words how much I love you. Our baby's name is Haru. Thank you so much for being born, Haru."
Meanwhile, Shim Hyung Tak and his Japanese wife Saya Hirai tied the knot in August 2023. Despite their age gap of 18 years, their cross-national love story captivated fans. Particularly, Saya gained much attention for her resemblance to BTS member Jungkook.
