According to MyDaily on the 6th, Kim Jung Hyun will conclude his 4-year partnership with his current agency, Story J Company, as his contract expires in March. Both parties recently made the decision amicably.
An entertainment industry insider revealed, "Kim Jung Hyun and his current agency have agreed to part ways on good terms. Kim Jung Hyun has reportedly been meeting with various agencies recently, considering his options for management." The insider added, "Although he took a brief hiatus from activities a few years ago due to health issues, he has been actively working since last year. Kim Jung Hyun is now actively seeking a new agency, and there have been discussions in the industry about which agency he might join."
Kim Jung Hyun made headlines recently when he publicly apologized to Seohyun for the so-called "Kim Ddak-Ddak" incident during the 2024 KBS Drama Awards. Kim bowed his head and said to Seohyun, the host of the event, "I have a lot to reflect on from the past. I have always carried a heavy heart while working, and I wanted to apologize."
Kim Jung Hyun and Seohyun worked together on the 2018 MBC drama Time. During the drama's press conference, Kim Jung Hyun refused to let his co-star, Seohyun, cross her arms, which led to controversy.
