Kim Gu Ra recently explained why he was unable to attend Jo Se Ho’s wedding.
On November 6, Kim Gu Ra uploaded a video addressing real estate questions on the YouTube channel he co-runs with his son.
Separate from the main content, Kim Gu Ra included a bonus clip where he explained in detail why he missed Jo Se Ho’s wedding on October 20.
Kim Gu Ra said, “A lot of people are curious about why I didn’t attend. Jo Se Ho informed us about the wedding date just a month or two in advance. But I had already scheduled a health check-up around the same time, also a month or two earlier,” he explained. “The wedding was on a Sunday, and my check-up was on Monday. Starting at 5 PM, I had to take medication that makes you, well, go to the bathroom a lot, and I realized that it just wasn’t going to work out.”
He continued, “If I took the medication at the wedding venue, I’d have to run to the bathroom right away. So, instead of showing up and having to excuse myself constantly, I sent an envelope with a cash gift through my manager.”
Kim Gu Ra added, “I also sent Jo Se Ho a text saying, ‘Sorry, I have a colonoscopy scheduled as part of my check-up'." Kim Gu Ra playfully continued, "Some people might say, ‘You should have rescheduled for Jo Se Ho’s wedding,’ but honestly, is Jo Se Ho that important to me? Not really." He then said, raising his voice in a lighthearted defense, "For anyone out there, if you had a friend’s wedding to attend but a colonoscopy the next day, would you still go? Let them come forward if so. You just can’t go when you’re in that state."
Kim Gu Ra concluded by sending a warm message to Jo Se Ho saying, "Se Ho, congrats on your wedding."
