SM Entertainment responded to reports of Red Velvet's Joy leaving the label.
Joy has been reportedly meeting with an acting management label, leading to speculation she's preparing to leave SM Entertainment at the end of her exclusive contract. Joy's previous comments expressing frustration towards SM Entertainment during Red Velvet's "Cosmic" promotions also added fuel to speculation she'd likely leave the agency.
However, SM Entertainment stated they're still negotiating with Joy. The agency told media outlets, "We're currently in discussions with Joy about contract renewals."
In other news, Red Velvet are holding their 2024 fan-con tour 'Happiness: My Dear, ReVe1uv' in Macau on September 28 KST.
