According to a Jeju province media outlet report on September 13 KST, Oh Young Hoon, governor of Jeju province, is scheduled to visit HYBE Labels later this afternoon.
The governor will visit HYBE Labels to sign an agreement appointing Seventeen member Seungkwan as a promotional ambassador of Jeju Island. Seungkwan, a native of Gujwa, Jeju-si, will be appointed into the ambassadorial position 9 years after his debut.
Meanwhile, among fans, Seungkwan is known as a "pure-blooded" native of Jeju Island. His father is from the Boo clan, a well-known clan native to Jeju, while is mother is from the Jwa clan, also a clan native to Jeju.
