Hyolyn responded to criticism about her long nails.
On the August 21st episode of 'Lee Eunji's Music Plaza', host Eunji expressed, "Hyolyn's nails are really long. I saw her in the bathroom earlier, and I was surprised to see how meticulously she cleaned her nails." Hyolyn then replied, "You should wash your hands for at least 15 seconds. You wash them, then flip them over and wash again, and you should also clean your thumbs separately."
She continued to say people often criticize her long nails, saying, "A lot of people look down on those of us who have long nails. People say things like, 'How do you manage with those nails? Aren't they uncomfortable? They look dirty.' It really makes me angry. These are my nails. They're not theirs. Why do they keep criticizing me? I wash my hands more thoroughly than they do."
Hyolyn concluded, "I use hand sanitizer all the time. You might think there are more germs because my nails are longer, so I take extra care. It's excessive. They should just leave me alone. I don't even scratch with my nails."
