Former EXO member Tao has publicly proposed to Xu Yiyang, a former SM trainee, sparking speculation that their wedding may be on the horizon.
According to Chinese media outlet Sohu Entertainment, Tao made the heartfelt proposal on a show aired on August 26, asking, "Will you allow me the honor of marrying you?" Xu Yiyang was moved to tears by the gesture.
In July, the couple shared photos of themselves walking hand in hand on a beach and sharing a kiss, accompanied by the caption, "We hope to be together forever."
Tao debuted with EXO in 2012 but left the group in 2015. Since 2020, rumors of his relationship with Xu Yiyang, who is four years his junior, have circulated. However, Tao had previously commented, "Dating is a personal matter. If someone acknowledges their relationship, they should be blessed. If not, it's not wrong either."
Now, with Tao publicly acknowledging their relationship and proposing just a month later, many are curious to see how quickly the couple will move towards marriage.
