BLACKPINK recently held a special ‘Pink Carpet’ event to commemorate both their 8th anniversary and the premiere of their new movie, ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS.’ In celebration of the event, all four members of BLACKPINK gathered to meet with fans and share their thoughts on the movie.
As each member gave a short speech thanking fans for attending, Jennie can be seen beginning to tear up and get emotional as she looks at the audience. She expresses her thanks to the many fans who gathered for the movie premiere: “I want to thank all the BLINKS here who have helped us reach our 8th anniversary. It’s so hot today, thank you all for enduring it together. Thank you so much for coming. I’m so happy. Thank you.”
After her statement, Jennie turns around while wiping tears from her face and stands behind Jisoo for a short while.
Fans are speculating as to what moved Jennie to tears at the recent event. Many think she got emotional looking at the large crowd of fans who had come to see BLACKPINK, while others say she was happy to be reunited with her group members on their anniversary.
