The film 'Exhuma' surpassed 6 million viewers on its 11th day of release, prompting director Jang Jae-hyun and actors Choi Min shik, Kim Go Eun, Ryu Hae-jin, and Kim Jae-cheol to express their gratitude.

The distributor Showbox released handwritten thank-you messages from the 'Exhuma' actors and director on the 4th to commemorate surpassing 6 million viewers. 

Director Jang Jae-hyun, who surpassed the score of his previous work 'The Priests' with 5.44 million viewers, setting a new personal box office record, wittily expressed his thanks, saying, "'Exhuma' has surpassed 6 million! I sincerely thank all viewers, I will write the script diligently and quickly."

Choi Min shik, Kim Go Eun, Ryu Hae-jin, and Kim Jae-cheol, who heightened the immersion of the film with their professional acting synergy, conveyed their gratitude to the audience with handwritten messages. 

Choi Min-sik said, "'Exhuma'!! 6 million... Thank you!!", Kim Go-eun expressed, "Movie 'Exhuma'!! Thank you to the 6 million viewers ♡", Ryu Hae-jin stated, "Wow!! 6 million, I'm so grateful^^", and Kim Jae-cheol shared, "6 million!! Thank you to all the viewers who loved 'Exhuma' ♥", expressing their joy and sincere thanks for surpassing 6 million viewers.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network tally, 'Exhuma' attracted a cumulative audience of 6,033,190 people as of the 3rd. Thus, 'Exhuma' set a record by surpassing the first 4 million, 5 million, and 6 million viewers during the March 1st holiday, becoming the first film of 2024 to achieve such milestones consecutively.

Additionally, in its second weekend, it attracted 2,335,931 viewers, surpassing the first weekend score of 1,965,321, continuing its unprecedented success. The record of 'Exhuma' surpassing 6 million viewers in just 11 days is a day faster than the 2022's highest-grossing film 'The Outlaws 2', and a week faster than the 2023's highest-grossing film 'Spring in Seoul'.

Meanwhile, 'Exhuma' is an occult mystery film that depicts a bizarre incident involving a geomancer, a funeral director, and shamans who relocate a suspicious tomb for a large sum of money. 

It has dominated the theaters with high audience satisfaction and a word-of-mouth frenzy, achieving a CGV Golden Egg Index of 95%, Lotte Cinema rating of 9.4, and Megabox rating of 9.
