QWER's 'Discord' creates a stir on Korean and Japanese music charts

AKP STAFF

QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyeon) is causing a sensation.

Since the release of QWER's debut song 'Discord' on October 18th last year (Korean time), it has been charting consistently on major domestic music charts.

First, 'Discord' charted on the Melon Top 100 for 8 consecutive weeks, and on the 15th, it once again rose to its highest record, ranking 29th on the daily chart. 'Discord' has also maintained its presence on the YouTube Music Korea Top 100 for 13 weeks, staying in the top 10 for 6 consecutive weeks, proving QWER's enduring popularity.

QWER's rising popularity in Japan is also worth noting. Despite not conducting separate promotions in Japan, 'Discord' has reached 5th place on Spotify's Viral 50 Japan chart as of the 16th. The Viral 50 is a chart that ranks the 50 most shared songs in a specific country or region on Spotify, based on user buzz.

In addition to their great music, QWER has consistently uploaded content through their official YouTube channel 'Tamago Production' even before their debut, closely interacting with fans. Their various 'Discord' challenges after their debut have also contributed to their chart success.

Amidst their hot local popularity, QWER will perform at the 'Kstyle PARTY' festival held in Tokyo Ariake Arena on February 24th.

Just listened to Discord. I like the song; it reminds me a bit of Unison Square Garden's music. I don't mind supporting this girl band
