A glimpse into the highly anticipated Season 2 of the globally acclaimed series, 'Squid Game,' was unveiled as a part of the set was revealed to the press.

On December 7, select media members were treated to an exclusive look at the set of Netflix's original series, 'Squid Game Season 2,' situated in Chungcheong Province. The key figures present included director Hwang Dong Hyuk, who oversees the screenplay and direction, Kim Ji Yeon, the representative of the production company First Man Studio, and Cha Gyeong Seon, the art director.

Director Hwang Dong Hyuk shared, "Since July, we've been immersed in the filming of Season 2, fueled by the interest and support of many. The sense of responsibility is substantial, but I'm committed to delivering a work that lives up to everyone's patience."

He went on to say, "Anticipate a more profound narrative and message in Season 2, unfolding alongside new games and characters."

Representative Kim Ji Yeon expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for making the journey here," and emphasized, "To meet the global interest and expectations for Season 2, the entire production and cast are dedicated to creating an exceptional piece. We seek your ongoing support."

Cha Gyeong Seon, celebrated for winning the Production Design Award in the Narrative Contemporary Program category at the 74th Creative Arts Emmy Awards for 'Squid Game,' spoke about the upcoming season. The art director voiced, "The love received for Season 1 and the heightened expectations for Season 2 instill a great sense of responsibility. The entire art team is diligently working to bring Director Hwang Dong-hyuk's creative vision and thematic consciousness to life."

On this occasion, two significant sets, serving as symbols of 'Squid Game 2,' were unveiled to the press (photography was prohibited). Elements hinting at the unfolding story of Season 2 were also shared in advance, intensifying curiosity about the dramatic narrative set against this backdrop.

In the meantime, 'Squid Game 2' commenced filming in July and is scheduled to continue production until next year.
