Lee Sun Gyun & G-Dragon are each facing investigation for suspected use of different types of narcotics

AKP STAFF

Earlier this week, actor Lee Sun Gyun (48) and musician G-Dragon (35) were booked by Incheon Metropolitan Police on suspicions of illegal drug use.

Specifically, both stars are facing allegations of violating the Narcotics Control Act. However, while both stars are suspected of violating the same law, it has been revealed that their specific criminal offenses are different.

According to a rep for the Drug Crime Investigation Unit of the Incheon Metropolitan Police on October 28 KST, Lee Sun Gyun is under suspicion of using two types of illegal drugs. The first, broadly classified as "marijuana", includes psychoactive drugs made of substances such as hemp and cannabis resin. The second, broadly classified as "psychotropic drugs", are typically prescribed by doctors and include varieties such as Philopon (methamphetamine), Propofol, Ketamine, and Zolpidem.

G-Dragon, on the other hand, is under suspicion of using a third type of illegal drug, broadly classified as "opioid substance", include recreational drugs made up of opium poppy leaves (heroin) and coca leaves (cocaine).

In order to detect the exact types of illegal drugs that these two may have abused, both individuals will undergo chemical tests soon, which will determine the types of drugs as well as the frequency of use.

How many more articles saying the same thing, just in different ways 🙄 What is wrong with waiting for new, official, information. Sheesh, talk about flogging a dead horse for news.

Their tactic is so perverse. They put them under public scrutiny with all kind of speculations weeks before, the media started assassinating their character with reports based on allegations, digging in the past circumstances and reinterpreting them to serve their narratives, giving credits to all kind of individuals that suddenly are specialists in body language and behavior and so they prepared the foundation for the abuse that will be coming during interrogation like coercing them to confess even before the results of the tests to come out bcs the police knows beforehand what kind of drugs they used. The public attention is focused on them bcs they are high profile celebrities while the other scandals which truly would have impact in Koreans' lives are fading away. It's like the police can't do their job without "the help" of media and in fact they're violating the right to privacy and the presumption of innocence. Seungri said that an officer from narcotics told him that he has experience and can say that Seungri has a face of drugs user so better to confess also to tell him abt celebrities he knew were consumers, in other words to become informant. They took his probes in public to humiliate him and run three tests which all came out negative but the police never reported publicly the results letting the narratives which involved him in Burning Sun club drugs deals related to go wild.
Now it seems that Lee Sun Gyun wasn't enough big name for them to keep the public's attention diverted so they went after GD. They said the cases are independent but they give information to media abt both of them in parallel bcs just "happened" to coincide. As always they use celebrities as scapegoats for what is going on at political level. I subscribe to those who say that if they put down someone like GD then every other idol is in danger to be used by them as scapegoat when they needed, it's just a matter of time.
