Lee Hyori has donated over $222K to 'The Beautiful Foundation' to support single mothers.
On October 19, Lee Hyori donated 300 million Won ($222,098.94 USD) to support single mothers in need. 'The Beautiful Foundation' will be using the funds to provide emergency aid for low-income single mothers as well as customized vocational training, education, and social networking through the 'Single-Parent Women's Resurgence Support Project.'
The support project seeks to prepare single mothers for job searching and provides social networks that will provide practical help for a stable parenting environment and economic independence. Lee Hyori expressed, "I started sharing because I wanted to practice small actions that would make a better world. I want to support the shining life of single mothers and spread the beauty of life with my neighbors through sharing in the future."
Lee Hyori previously donated to 'The Beautiful Foundation' to aid disadvantaged senior citizens who need heating during winter.
