Jo Jin Woong in talks to join drama series 'No Way Out' after Lee Sun Gyun drops due to drug scandal

On October 30 KST, an entertainment industry official told one media outlet, "Jo Jin Woong recently received a proposal to appear as the main character of 'No Way Out'. The actor himself also confirmed that he is currently reviewing the script after his role offer." 

'No Way Out' is an upcoming drama series that takes place after a heinous criminal is released from prison. A public bounty with a payout of 20 billion won is offered for his murder, and detective Baek Joong Sik is assigned the task to protect the murderer from the citizens. While Lee Sun Gyun had originally been signed to play the role of Detective Baek Joong Sik, he voluntarily dropped from the project shortly after his drug scandal erupted in the media. The production agency is reportedly filming the other actors' scenes before finalizing the role of the main lead.

Meanwhile, Lee Sun Gyun recently made his first appearance at the police station, after being confirmed as the top star booked for illegal drug use.
