On September 20, HYBE announced that Big Hit Music, the managing agency of world-renowned South Korean boy band BTS, would extend its exclusive contract with the group beyond 2025.

The decision, affirmed by a board resolution, ensures the music agency's continued association with all seven BTS members: RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

BTS, internationally acclaimed and representing the epitome of South Korea's cultural force, debuted under Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of HYBE, back in 2013. The group rapidly rose to global fame, carving out a unique fan phenomenon worldwide. Throughout their illustrious career, they have managed to conquer the charts of numerous countries. Their music tops consistently on esteemed platforms like the US Billboard, UK Official Charts, Japanese Oricon, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, and others.

The group's global stature is well known and transcending their music, BTS has also had significant societal influence through endeavors such as delivering speeches at the United Nations and initiating the LOVE MYSELF campaign.

As part of the contract renewal process, Big Hit Music will commence signing agreements with individual members sequentially, keeping in mind the ongoing military service commitments of some members. Those currently enlisted will have fulfilled their mandatory service before the initiation of the new exclusive contract term in 2025.

Expressing hope for the future, a HYBE representative stated, "With the renewal of the contract, we aspire to support BTS in their full-fledged activities in 2025 and beyond." They further affirmed that both HYBE and Big Hit Music are committed to furnishing every possible support to enhance BTS's illustrious global standing.

Moreover, to express their deep gratitude towards the BTS phenomenon and the group's fandom, ARMY, Big Hit Music revealed they will donate 1 billion KRW (~754,398.20 USD) to the UNICEF Korea Committee. This generous act aligns perfectly with the LOVE MYSELF campaign that BTS and the agency collectively launched in November 2017.
