Rookie actor Kim Yoon Woo creates a buzz for his portrayal of unrequited love toward Nam Goong Min in 'My Dearest'

With the rising popularity of the ongoing MBC drama 'My Dearest', a particular supporting character has also drawn significant attention, displaying excellent chemistry with the story's male lead Nam Goong Min. 

In 'My Dearest', rookie actor Kim Yoon Woo plays the role of Ryang Eum, called by the title of 'the greatest voice in all of Joseon'. At age 12, this young man discovers that he is attracted to men, rather than women. From there, he goes on to become an entertainer who can steal the hearts of any men who hear his song.

However, Ryang Eum harbors a secret, unrequited love for his dear friend, Lee Jang Hyun (Nam Goong Min). Jang Hyun considers Ryang Eum no more than a friend and fails to realize Ryang Eum's true feelings, and Ryang Eum vows never to let his feelings be known to anyone...

Actor Kim Yoon Woo, who portrays the role of Ryang Eum, makes his first appearance on a broadcasting station drama as a major supporting character through 'My Dearest'. Earlier this year, he appeared in the drama 'Delightfully Deceitful' as the younger version of actor Kim Dong Wook.

Despite his lack of major experience as a rookie, the actor is garnering positive attention for his detailed portrayal of the complex character, Ryang Eum.
